An example of a maintenance program for a bespoke aquarium would be as follows:

• Clean interior aquarium glass, remove algae growth, and remove waste material visible in all aquariums.
• Carry out substrate clean and water siphon, removing accumulated mulm from all aquariums.
• Clean acrylic out-takes and overflow pipes, cover glasses and lighting units.
• Clean out micron filters, backwash system cleaning sand filter and effecting water removal and replacement of 25% from aquariums, re-set and check filter operation, inspect heater, R.O units, U.V sterilisers and other components and advise.
• Replace water removed with 'new' and correctly adjusted water.
• Re-fill header tanks and prepare water for next maintenance cycle.
• Check livestock for damage and diseases, check feeding regime, and advise if necessary.
• Polish aquariums, exteriors and surrounds, clean, tidy and finish.
